I have the xenon depot 4300k HID's on my car that I got a few months ago. About 2 months ago I was driving along and hit a nasty pothole and one of my HID's went out. When I got home to inspect it the little rod that runs from the base to the top of the bulb was cracked, so I figured I needed a new bulb. Purchased the new one, installed it, no problems. Now a few weeks later, the bulb only comes on sometimes. At first I noticed when I turned the car on, only the old bulb would come on, but then if I muted my radio (guessing the amount of voltage being drawn by my system?), the other light would come on if I turned them off then on. Now the new bulb comes on randomly, sometimes after the working one has been ignited for awhile. Is my ballast going bad? I'm pretty sure its not the wiring, as I've checked all connections and they are all good, plus the + and - are shared, and the non-working one gets the power first. Help is appreciated.

Yeah it sounds like the ballast is going bad. Try switching them and see if the other light powers on first. If it does then the ballast is going bad if it doesn't power on then your wiring is bad.
