I found out how to disable DRL without cutting the wires. All you do is unplug the left highbeam headlight. Although this won't allow you to use your highbeams, but who does? This won't disable the auto-on headlight feature. Found out while I was installing Blue Bat's H4 kit (smoked vinyl looks great) and was looking for a place to install my ballast. Saw highbeam unplugged. Plugged it back in, DRL enabled, unplugged, DRL disabled. This probably might work on other cars who has this feature. Anyways, thought I'd share.

i use my highbeams alot... maybe just because it's mississippi... neat that you found it out but i think most people would rather just snip a wire...

Yeah, you could also just pull the DRL fuse....does the same thing.

But again, I want my highs for country driving and flashing people.
