so fellas i have my car currently at a pretty good auto body shop and they have done nice work. i am installing a new Front bumper and they are having some parts nicely painted. anyways i am also having a CF hood installed there. and i asked them to clearcoat it. anyways i just got a call from them mentioning everythign was to be done on monday, but that it was tought to do the cf hood clear coating and they put jsut sanded it a lil bit (which sounds about right) but they had to use about almost about a galon of clear coat because of ... i dunno why, but they would stick with the original estimate of 120(which includes installign and painting hood spoilers, no coments on this plz)....
is that right i mean...that much to clear coat a cf hood!!??, i didn't know it was that hard or that it would take that much material...

I guess it sounds about right, well I don't know how much clear it uses, but most of the people I know go as much as 5 coats of clear on their hood to give it that deep luster/shinyness.

but damn a gallon does sound like a lot though. I think that's enough to do more than 1 hood. Just hope it looks good!

$120 is a good deal for a recoat. I was quoted near $300, so I ended up doing it myself.
