Well im having a great first season in AutoX. I am competing in STS class. I was just curious about your tein or other coilovers and how much they cut off your time? Or any other performance parts that helped lot, besides tires? Thanks Guys and good luck to you. I got second today in STS only .5 of the leader on my stock suspention and Toyo Fz-4 all season tires!!!
Thanks
Rory

Unfortunately, the tires issue kind of mixes in.
Today at the local autocross, there were two spec blue GT-S Celicas. Mine with coilovers, swaybars, braces and Falkens, and Smaay's with i/e only, on worn out stock Yokos.
Smaay and his girlfriend drove both cars during their runs. They both had about a 5 sec improvement when they switched to my car. They were still about 2.5 sec behind me, but much quicker with my car.
I figure the tires are worth about 3 sec, so the other $3500 I've spent on my car is worth about 2 sec on a 65 sec autox course.
The single best moves you can make for the suspensions are: rear sway bar (also the easiest), front cusco lower brace, and, most importantly, a proper alignment (I'm running -1.5 deg camber and zero toe all around. A touch of rear toe out, and maybe a bit less rear or more front camber would probably be even better.)

Did you really feel that much from the Cusco bar?? I hadn't even really considered bracing stuff till I figured out what other suspension to do this summer (shocks, GCs or both)

Yup. That was one brace worth the bucks. It's not an overwhelming difference, but I could feel the improvement in turn in.
