What is the part number for the 2nd gen lift bolts? I'm going to the dealer tomorrow to order them.
Also, I'm still worried about purchasing a GTS and not knowing if the lift bolts are broken or not. I've experienced lift a couple times a while back so I don't really remember how hard it pulled so I really have nothing to go by when test driving the car. Is there any other way to find out if they are broken?
I also have that carfax guarantee thing...do you think I would be covered under that if I bought the car and found out the bolts were broken?

Part #: 90105-06293
As for your other question, I cannot help too much. If you haven't experienced lift much, then it will be difficult for you to tell if yours is lacking. You need a second GTS probably to compare it to. If lift doesn't happen at all - well, that should be easy for you to determine.
As for Carfax - I doubt it. It's got to be a Toyota Certified Used, or under the 6 yr 60 k powertrain warranty, probably.

are you sure? because i took my car to the dealer to have something checked under warranty, and they told me my warranty expires 3-17-06. the car was first purchased on 3-17-01. 48k miles, so obviously 60 months will come before 60k
edit: from toyota's website
Powertrain Coverage: 60 months/60,000 miles (engine, transmission/transaxle, front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, seatbelts and air bags).

I always thought it was 6 years 60k. I guess I was wrong. Sorry for the false info then and thanks for the correction.

I am sorry as well. My Toyota dealer here is nice - even if I'm over on one and under on the other, they still cover it.
