I don't know if this has been covered before (no luck using the Search) so i'm putting this here to be safe. :)
Are there any companies that make stiffer valve springs for the 1ZZ? I would prefer not to get custom ones if there are already some aftermarket ones out there...

Good question. I don't know of any. I would like to know as well.

I guess my question would be why would you need them since we don't have bigger cams or an ECU that allows higher RPM?
FYI, my 1ZZ is in my Spyder.
Well, i'll be installing the Top Secret turbo kit pretty soon and i've heard of cases of floating valves in boosted 1zz's so i think it'd be a good idea.

Any idea why boosting would cause the valves to float, that is normally a condition of high RPM?

I'm with oldster. Wouldn't more cylinder pressure HELP the valve close (if anything.
I have never heard of a boost applicaiton that made the valves float easier (seemingly unrelated aspects of the engine).
Does more boost make the inertia of teh valve change?
Maybe that extra pressure forces it closed soooo fast it bounces off the seat (not likely).

Top Secret of Japan, yea, the tuner with all the gold cars. :)
That's a very very good question about the floating. I have no idea but i'm determined to find out! :)
