well.. its time to say goodbye to my baby. had her for 2 years, its time for a new toy.... saturday, im going to trade my celica for an 03 350z, silver, black leather, navigation, 6 speed. and im gonna be working for 40 hours a week, on top of school everyday..

But its worth it.

good luck with the 350,

however I must get my word of advice in, keep a cheaper car when you're young. I'm pulling myself out of debt right now because I wanted a nicer car. Theres plenty of time to get a toy. Plus, living paycheck to paycheck isn't fun. Want a celica gt-s for winter???? ;)

which is why I am curious as to why its worth it...

financially?
social status?

where does the worth lie?

I guess I'm jus old fashioned for thinking my youth is the time to be in the trenches working hard and not enjoying to the max (remember..to the max, doesnt mean not enjoying at all) so it can all pay off later when I wont have the strength or will to lift a finger except maybe a nice cold corona somewhere off some exotic island...INDEED!

Putting the cart before the horse, thats what my pappy calls it.

Best of luck to ya.

naw, its time to take an easy.. im on like probation for 2 years, if i get a speeding ticket, lisence is gone for a year, and im not gonna have to work too hard for it, my car has 20k miles on it, its an 02, so the values gonna be there, the loan and insurance shouldnt be TOO bad either, well see how it goes

well, i got the car, total was like 26,500, and i got 14,800 for my celi! i was shocked. all i have is a 300 doller car payment, and 300 dollers for insurance a month. which isnt bad at all. so its pretty much 150 a week for me.

i dont plan on doing a lot to it, just the greddy lip kit, staggered ass 20s with a nasty lip, borla exhaust, borla headers, injen CAI, custom sub encloser, HID high beams and a plug and play thing so i can play DVDs in the NAV.

and ya, if i get a speed ticket, its gone for a few years, but i wont be speeding.. trust me, ill just speed up to the limit real quick :gap:

That's illegal too

Just so you are aware you're going to lose your license (again) that much quicker in this car. Did your parents help you make this purchase? I ask because I'm wondering what they could be thinking.

i dont know about MA, but in NY his parents would definately have to be helping him for his insurance to be so low...im paying 6000+ for my celi, and my girlfriend is paying almost $4000 for her 05 forenza....$3600 for a new 350 is rediculously cheap...

DAMN!!!! What insurance company are you guys going through. I pay $300.00 per month for my 2001 Mustang GT and my 2000 Celica GT-S. The mustang is 160 and the celi is 140. And just so you know I am 20 years old and have gotten 3 speeding tickets in the past 3 months.

daaaaaaaamn. ur lisence must be like mine 3 years ago. the first 3 years of my driving record, i had 3 accidents and about 10+ moving violations. which meant my insurence back then was about 5-6k a year.

for the past 3 years i've had 1 accident and 1 ticket (seat belt) which puts my insurence at $289 a month with full coverage

all insurence comparisons are done with progressive insurence

are you under your parent's plan? My car is registered to me, and the insurance is solely under my name. If it were under my parents, it would be like 1400/year....

lol ya its under my dads insurance, and i was just kidding when i said ill just speed up to the limit real quick, i have 2 tickets, 1 is for street racing, 1 month suspension and a 500 doller fine, and the other one is a 51 in a 20, that i didnt pay, so i got my lisence suspended again, and its still suspended till next week, i have no idea what step driver i am. and no, i work 36 hours ontop of going to school, my parents nevr helped me with anything besides registering and insuring the car, and i pay for it, so.. I dunno, i never have time to be on here anymore, it sucks..

and i think WE can be thankful for that. its nice u were getting a ton of residual value on the Celica, but a wise choice would be to keep the slower, cheaper, older FWD car until u are ready not to get caught doing stupid things on a regular basis. Working 40 hrs a week while in school is not smart.

there is just so much wrong in ur posts that i expect a post from u ina few months in here saying u did something stupid and we should feel bad for u.

so ur parents let u trade ur car in for a more fast car in the mean time that ur lisence is suspended for streetracing and speeding?? does any1 else find this wrong in so many different levels??

sorry kid but some how i get the feeling that ur a spoiled lil brat. dont tell me that u got the car on ur own cuz there is no way in hell u paid straight cash for a 350 or have the credit in order to finance it on ur own. so ur perents had to be involved in getting ur new car WHILE ur lisence is suspended.

i will get my kids brand spanking new sneakers if you were my kid. not a brand new FASTER car
