Well, turns out the clutch is gone and it is not under warranty. There goes $775 down the drain. I gotta get it done, so I'm gonna have to pay up.

Anyways, here are some pics:

Yup, that's what a stock GTS looks like. ;)

You could get it done for half that much if you didn't go to a dealership.

Yep. $775 total and that's from an independent shop. Toyota said they would charge around $1,400.

If you're out of warranty, there's no reason to go to the stealership anymore. :thumbdown

That's because it is like new. Only 28k miles. It just sucks that the previous owner raced a lot or didn't know how to drive a manual transmission worth a ****.

Good price.. My friend had the same problem as you, clutch. The crazy thing about it is that he went with the dealer (OEM PARTS). He could have bought aftermarket parts with it.($1,400 crazy)... Lolz O wellz..

resurfacing the flywheel is included in the labor price? it should be at that amount. What clutch are you getting? Ask for the breakdown of the clutch and labor. Probably the best for the money is the RPS street at $265. Also, when they say "parts" does that mean new stock fw bolts or ARP fw bolts? New throwout bearing?

Can you respond to my thread in the performance section? I'm new to clutches so I need help. Thanks.
