Grinds to 2nd under warrenty??

I was wondering if Toyota will fix the ?bad syncros? on my tranny. I grind in 2nd when i shift hard and when I downshift into 2nd unless i'm at the 3500 RPM mark. I know others have had this problem and I need to know if Toyota will cover my tranny for that. Also, take a look at my mods and let me know if any of them will void my warrenty...
I know these for sure:
S-AFC voids computer
Intake voids intake problems
Exhaust shouldn't void anything considering it is axle back

hmmm...I don't know. I'm pretty sure the S-AFC does but it doesn't have anything to do with your 2nd gear synchro....but then again there's only one way to find out - takie it in and tell me how it does lol I need to do this too.

Im having the exact same problem .... i took my car in when it was completely stock .. they said they could not duplicate the problem , then the guy tells me .. your probably just out shiftin the syncros ..well i dont "out shift:" the syncros in n e other gear .. well it still does it i just learned to live with it .. .. i did have the 3rd gear syncros go out b 4 that to where you couldnt shift it into gear so obviously they had to replace those.
Take it in seee what they say .. cant hurt ..and if htey give u crap .. try takin it to another dealership ...

This EXACT thing happened w/ my GTS. As I type this my car is getting an entire new tranny. (All under warrenty)

i second that...im in the same situation. my car is at the dealership getting a new tranny. also the best way to have them replicate the damn problem is to drive the car around for a good 20-30 minutes then have the tech drive with you...well at least i had to do that cuzz my problem wouldnt occur unless its been driven for that amount of time.

Toyota fixed my synchros under warranty. Car was at 37,000 miles too.

Yeah, dont let them BS you into thinking it's not covered. They tried to give me that same line and I fought it. It was a bad defect in the Celica and even the mkii MR2 had the same problem. The syncros on 2nd go out fast.

Mine only had 7k miles on it before they went out. Then they fixed it and forgot to put the plug back in on the tranny!@!!:mad:

toyota's gonna fix mine but they're giving me the stupid 2002 transmission instead of just fixing the syncros.
