I was just reading alot of these threads and started wondering how old everyone here is. It seems with import cars, there are alot of younger guys with alot of knowledge. I feel like the old man sometimes...I am 24.

im 22 recently graduated and learning the true daily grind (not an internship) is teh suck. dont think just cuz you have a degree you'll walk into this sweet great paying position. nope still gotta work and pay your dues.
my advice to you guys in school still. you may think its the worst thing ever but dont rush through it. its prolly the most stress free way to find out who and what you want to be in the future. cuz changing your mind once schools over is, would or will be very hard. choose your course of study wisely because you may not think it now, but it can and prolly will dictate the rest of your adult life. take it or leave it but you learn more than you can imagine between your senior yr in HS to your senior yr in college or 18-22. and i bet many of the guys my age that went the college route or didnt go that path can vouch for that. anyways just my .02

18 in a month here. Celica is the first true import car I have ever owned, so far its pretty sweet. A lot of the girls at school always want "rides" in my car. I get a lot of compliments from people about it.

Saved up money for the Evo and dealer tried to rip me $5000 over MSRP. Took my business elsewhere and ended up with a 2003 Cobra, currently running over 500rwhp. Not sure why I still come here. The looks of the Celica seduce me. I love the feel and looks of it, and I wouldn't mind a GTS 6-speed as a daily driver to replace my Saturn, but since Toyota pulled the plug on it here ... now I am leaning towards a Prius or Matrix XRS.

I'm selling my old 2000 GTS for cheap.... If you still wanted one for a dd. Its got a couple mods, like suspension/clutch/fly/short shifter....but thats for feel :)

23 and I didn't know a thing about cars before I got my 1st Celica in 2000. When this lady totalled it, I got my GT-S and have learned quite a bit since then. Awesome site, and like others, I don't feel quite so young anymore

Just turned 24, and word to what silverstreak17 said. College is the key, you may think it sucks now but when you look back on it you'll think "Damn, that was easy." Of course I am in the Miltary so that may have alot to do with it. 12-14hr workdays, 24hr workdays 1-2 times a week, and deployments. Lesson learned, college is a great chance to learn your trade and money is not everything....pursue what you love and be the best at it and it will take you far.

23 as of oct.... was a member of everything celica for a year then came here when it died. In that year I went from knowing nothing about cars to doing 2 motor installs and a full suspension install, a full stereo install, and complete body kit install by myself in my friends driveway. I must say these tech sites really can teach you a lot.
