I think there may be something up with my a/c unit.
every morinin' during a cold start of the engine, there is like a cascading sound...like a stream of water that has accumulated somewhere in the dash and rushes down to a pocket or something. I think its in the a/c unit. dunno if Toyota will cover this under warranty. what do you guys think it is. Also on a cold night, there is moisture in the inside of the windshield rather than from outside, it came out of the vents that is by the windsheild.
please help!
thank you

Hell yea Toyota better cover it. How in the hell can it be normal to have something leaking inside your car cabin? (or whatever you call inside your car. If you need proof, or a better discription to give to the dealer just video tape whats going on and play it for them. Just explaining it might not be enough, cus they might act stupid and say "that could be any number of things." Hope that helps. Oh yea, the moisture definately sounds like a ventalation prob, and the sound could be a/c or maybe radiator fluid, but radiator fluid is too far away and I dont think you would hear it unless your standing outside. Hope that helps.

hmm I have heard of this problem on Celicas before. I think autoxr (Scott) fixed the probelm by adding water to the collant system. Not a big deal. I forgot the exact reason, but it has something to do with the overflow tank. I have this problem and I'm gonna add some water to to the coolant soon and see what happens.

Hmmm.... I've had that problem for quite sometime now. I just thought it was normal though. I'll try adding some water too. :)
As for the condensation on the inside of the windshield, just move your vent knob to something other than defrost. It happens b/c of air coming into the cabin from outside. I usually switch the vents over to front (the arrows pointing to the guy's face). This should fix that problem.

Yup, not the AC, probably just a little low on coolant.
The reservoir is mounted up by the radiator under one of those nice little plastic covers. It is a milk-jug white bottle with pink fluid in it. Make sure when the engine is COLD it is filled to the "min" line, or "full when cold" line (I forget what it says).

well I checked my coolant and it was rather low, it was about half an inch below the "low" mark on the resivoir. I added a little distilled water and brought the level half-way between full and low. I haven't started the car yet so I don't know if the sound has gone away.
