Its a line level converter with a built in remote turn on adapter. Basically, when it gets the signal in from the speaker wires, it converts it into RCA outputs, and creates and amp turn on lead. They sell them all over ebay.

cool, good find...or you always cut stock wires to get that to work...

well yea, but the cool thing was the turn on lead. You won't have to wire a switch. It will just turn on and off with the radio.
