power inverters

where's a good place to mount one? what should i look for when buying one?

The way that I have my inverter set up is this: the inverter has been taken apart and the plugs have been extended. I have the inverter hiding in the rear of my car, and the plugs are under the glove box (I have it on a sheet of ABS with three RCAs for connecting to video game consoles)
