I just found 7 Garret GTBB 3037s. These are dual ball bearing, extremely efficient turbos. The are the same spec as the HKS 3037. Garret sells the turbos for $2500 and HKS sells it for $2900

I can get these for $1800 ea.

These turbos are good to 500-550hp.. which is perfect for for a daily driven t00ned car. PM me if interested.

On a 1.8L GS-R motor, full boost by ~3300rpm. Pretty damn good for a turbo capable of supporting that much power. :)

interested in the turbo, however...I'm wondering what other pieces I would need to actually put it on a celica. I would need to have an exhaust manifold made to mount the turbo on, custom exhaust, get an intercooler, and get custom piping made, as well as upgrade my fuel injectors..etc..etc..etc right?

Yes, that is correct. The hardest part will be finding a turbo manifold with a Garett flange. You could always get one custom made though.

But will these work with the GT-S without any major changes or corrections? Custom work ? How much besides that, theres gata be alot more custom work than just some tiny things. ??

I'm interested so update me. PLZ

So what is the deal here? Is the turbo set up for the GT-S engine or not? If this can be bought with everything needed for around $2-$3 k I'm in. Let me know what all has to be done before the turbo can be put on.
Thanks
Brian

uhhh.... :wtf: the turbo here is already $1800. You still need engine management, turbo manifold (custom made), and if you want to go to the 500hp this turbo can support you need forged internals, a resleeved block, and a new fuel setup. Probably more like $8k-10k

Well no $hit, I couldn't imagine having to use forged internals for 500hp! Now I'm not for sure, but did I say 500hp? Noooo I was just asking what had to be done to the GT-S engine for some modest gains in hp.

I don't know why the fvck you're pissed. It was a pretty dumb question if you have read any of the other posts regarding turbo systems in this forum.

The fact is still that this turbo, the Garret GTBB 3037s is already $1800 by itself. If you want to put this turbo in your GTS you need: the turbo, a turbo manifold (which at this point will be a custom job), and at the very least a S-AFC, if not a Japanese S-AFC. Plus you need an intercooler and all the necessary cutsom piping. There is no way in hell you're going to get all that for $2-3k at this point in time. Hell, even the Greddy turbo kits for Integras are over $3k, and nothing in those kits is custom. Also, I bet the turbo's in those kits dont cost anything close to $1800.

edit: lets think about this... the Garret GTBB 3037s = $1800, Apexi S-AFC = $320. I dont know what the manifold would cost, but an intercooler is going to set you back $800+. That doesnt include all the custom piping, etc.

Anybody who does a turbo kit with a half-ass fuel system, is going to get just that: half-assed power with half-assed reliability. I mean if you look at the facts (11.5:1 compression in an open deck block with cast pistons) I think you can see that perfect fuel delivery is going to be the key to reliability.
