I never eat in it. I remove dirty gym/athletic clothes as soon as I get home. Don't let any one smoke in it. Vacuum the floor and seats regularly. Clean the seats and plastics with Lexol products, which leaves a nice leather smell.

Griot's Garage sells a few products for this.

Food smells go away after a few days. I still get comments about the car smelling new after 2 years. Just keep it vaccuumed and I clean the interior with Endust usually. Also, the carpets will pick up some stank. Remove the carpeted floor mats occasionally. Beat them against a tree to knock out loose dust. Then take them inside and scrub them real good with laundry detergent. Let 'em dry in the sun and they will look and smell as good as new.
