I am using griots garage products in all the vehicles i work on. So far they have been great. I had problems with their boar's hair brush, and have been dealing with their customer service supervisor, and am getting a porter cable random orbital to remove the damage. I will be detailing my spec blue celica, and will be sure to get pics of the entire process. I have some other tidbits of important information that i will be sampling during this detail operation, and i will contribute them to the post after i detail my celica.
So far ive been impressed with their products, and i think that they wont let me down with their machine.

I'm also interested in the random orbital. My neighbor uses it on his Viper, Maxima, '67 T-birds and F-150 with great results. He offered to let me borrow it but our schedules and the weather have not been in sync.

I have found other stores and web sites that sell it for less ($95-120). The only difference is that it doesn't have the nice carrying case and the vacuum hose attachment for dust collecting when sanding. Griot's also offers a lifetime warrantee on all their products, but the other retailers only support the manufacturer's warrantee. If you can live without the case and sanding attachments it might be worth the gamble to spend about 1/2 the price for the same machine with a shorter warrantee. If it does break you can always get another and still break even. (I have seen it in use and looked it over in person and it seems like a very high quality tool that would be tough to break if used as intended.)
