View Full Version : Wings: TRD vs. WW vs. stock

I would like to change my stock spoiler for either a TRD wing or the WW one.
Now I know WW might be harder to find but what preoccupies me right now is visibility.

Is rear view visibility better with a TRD or WW wing on than stock? If anybody has rear view pics (from the inside towards the back), for TRD and WW wings, it might help me out in making a decision. :gap:

Im not a fan of the Wings West V-Line spoiler. Doesnt look good.

But both the TRD and WW should give you a better view, since the stock wing would take up much of the bottom view.

BTW, I miss my stock wing because it would block other cars' highbeams and prevent me from getting blindsided.

Hmmm, good point! I didn't think about that.

But is visibility really that better? I mean: does the TRD spoiler block the rear view in any way or can you see under it as much as you could without a spoiler at all? (the center piece being about as high as the roof line)

with the mid blade being as high as the roof line, it would give you a better view than the stock wing.

now wingless give you the best view.

With the TRD spoiler, I hated how it would block the roofline of cars behind you so you couldn't spot a cop easily. ;)

:rofl: You might have the ultimate point there....

So I guess that if the TRD spoiler does that, its because it isn't as high as the roof and it blocks part of the upper rear view right?

Anyone with inside pics?

I love how high the TRD spoiler is. It forms a nice window to see traffic through, beaneath the spoiler. Here's a pic from inside...

Too bad the center piece isnt a thin as the EVO VIII's CF middle piece, huh? :gap:

That could be a new project for someone.

No problem guys. Sorry the pic isn't 100% clear. I have tinted windows (20%) and I was driving when I took that shot. :D
