Yesterday, I recived my AEM pulley so I wanted to put it in and go test it at the track but, couldn'd get that nut loose without an impact wrench so, I went to the track anyways to see if I could duplicate some 14.2s or 14.1s again eventhough the temp was 63 degrees (not bad). Well, last night runs were a little weird. I started the night running 14.4s (was having $hitty runs). Then had some 14.2s and finally a 14.19 which is the closest I got to my fastest time. I also did some 2.1s 60ft and every time I get a really good launch I mess up the 1-2 shift because don't land on lift.
Here's a 2.15 60ft, either I mess up or it gripped so good that didn't land on lift.

or this 14.19 that got up to 99.2! The launch wasn't that good but I guess it gripped after!

I'm putting that pulley in today so I can go to the track next week! Hope it helps. Oh, and no DRs yet. I also met a guy that post on this forum. Are you here? Don't know your user name...

billybrun,
The fact that you can run low 14's all day with the minimal amount of mods you have is a testament to both the Celica's potential in the import race scene and your considerable driving skills. Maybe you should look into some kind of sponsorships. Hopefully, I can test out those Gude cams for you and everyone else on these boards sometime this winter. Keep up the great work, man!

If you call taking spare tire and my subs out, yes. I really want to hit 13's with the same configuration that everybody has and having a daily driving setup.
By the way, I finally installed the AEM pulley yesterday. I'm going to test it next friday at Rockingham, NC to see if it really helps.

Damn, you guys are lucy! The only time I can run here is in the summer, and the track SUCKS!
My best time was 14.62 with I/E in 70+ degree weather (and a slipping clutch).
I want to run in cold weather :( DAMN... Well, I just go out now that I have a new transmission, and clutch. I would love to get an LSD too! I am pretty sure that the track is closed for the rest of the season, but if it is not, I will try to get the track one more time before the end of the year.

edit... I just noticed I lost my damn post count! I look like a friggin newbie now!!!! GRRR I worked hard to achieve that... LARRY!!!! heheh...
weather is only a small part of it.. I ran 14.5 in 60s as well.. just alot of practice..

BillyBrun: Dude those are amazing times, but what I'm more interested in is where are you launching at?? Also how much for the LSD conversion.

Thanks. I usually do it from 6000 to 7000 rpms with a combination of slip and drop clutch. The Phantom Grip LSD is $299 from phantomgrip.com
