Ithink injen makes a heat shield that attaches directly to the filter and it is stainless. I have the rmm heat shield (on my GT-S) and it is ok. The problem is that the rubber nipple that hits the intake manifold melts from the temperature and marks the manifold. Also the ends are up against the coolant lines. You gotta put extra padding so the lines dont chafe against the end on the metal. I'd get the injen one personally. Hope this helps bro.
i've had the rmm heat shield installed for almost 2 yrs and i havent seen any melting or rubbing at all

I have the Injen short ram with the RMM heat sheild. Works great. Supposedly keeps filter 75 degrees cooler. I did use a heavy duty shears to cut a slot out for the coolant line. Remove the black plastic guard in front of the air box. With the rmm sheild it makes a great path for fresh air to flow through the small vent to the intake.

I didnt mean melting like rubber dripping all over the place. I meant melting like the rubber heats up and marks the intake runner. That shouldn't be much of a prob with a GT because they are black. The edge however does sit next to the coolant hoses and may wear them. Mine havent, but they may. just trying to give as much info as possible. Don't want a fellow celi driver with a overheated motor. ;) Didnt know the injen shield didnt fit, thanks for the info. Go for the RMM one then. Just pad the edge of the shield. Good luck bro.
