I have the blitz SUS. Wouldn't recommend it if you have auto gts. I had to relocate my trans. dipstick because the intake was rubbing on it. I love the sound though. Made my exhaust sound a lot better too.

Looks like it would be pretty susceptable to heat soak being so close.. but then again the injen one isn't much farther away.

I got the Injen and I put the Rod Millen heat shield on with it. I love it!

I wouldn't get the Blitz if I were you. Someone a while back posted a review between the Blitz, Apexi, K&N, and HKS filters. And the Blitz and HKS did very poorly. Look at the tube on the Blitz, it's like a little nub. Looks like heat soak is going to be a bigger problem to me. That's my $.02

<IMG SRC="http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/smilies/cwm13.gif" border=0> Uhhh they are both short ram intake, u can't do anything about it, it will still suck heat inside the engine bay.
I have the Blitz Metal Mesh SUS intake, I talked to one of the representatives in thermal flex about changing that rubber tube intake pipe into a Silicone one, I guess I will be shipping my blitz intake to them so they could measure it and send me back a proto type. I guess it's back to the old stock air box to me.

I'll sell you my Injen CAI for $190.00 if you want. It's never been used and still in the box. I'm also selling my 5Zigen cat back exhaust for $430.00 still inthe box.

The Injen CAI (racing Version) Is the best Intake for our car, AEM also makes a good one but I would rather go with InJen, It looks good in the Blue!

The blitz in question was the SUS core (metal filter) and the test wasn't conducted with the LM core (paper filter)

That's awesome I haven't seen that pic in a while. I cleaned up a few things since then so my engine looks a little better now IMHO, But thanks for the compliments anyway.
my .02 though I'm thinking about getting the reactive airfilter W/ the heatshield and putting it on my intake then on the tip of the heatshield I can clamp another tube down to it and direct it to the same location as the CAI to get cold air and when it rains I can disconnect it from the filter easily for a safe short ram.
Injen doesn't have problems W/ CEL unless the MAS isn't tightened down properly. Injen spent the time to place the MAS in the proper spot to get an accurate reading where other Co's just put them in there.

the length of the tubing of the injen shows how inexperienced they are compared to blitz. a longer tubing not only reduces overall power, it will decrease in throttle response, engine elasticity and many other variables.
IMHO there is nothing dumber than making ur engine bay look good, that should be secondary. sure, its nice to have a nice enginebay, but come on, its like decorating the closet...
my personal philosophy on so called "show cars" is that looking "good" in our context means looking fast/quick, because looking fast is looking good. but in that sense its just a pretentious way to make your car look like something its not... unless you goldplate the car and take "real" stylistic modifications to your car. hence, apr wings, giant stickers, 18' rims, are a no no by my book, unless you have the power to accompaign it. thats why i keep my celi moderately modified esthetically, but i'd love to be much quicker than i look like. hehe and trubo is on my agenda...
of course, its not for me to decide what u do to your celica, and i fully respect it, i am just giving my opinion (even though u didn't as for it :D). any mature comments are welcome.

Uhh, Yeah thanks for the put down! You do things your way and I'll do things my way. And to think you ask for a mature comment after that BS.

um... the people who dress up their engines have a reason for doing so - 1, it makes the car look good - 2, when you need someone to work on your car, they will respect the care for your vehicle as much as you do... and thus will treat your car better - 3, it maintains value because the bay is cleaner then a junked up DIRTY bay.... and finally - 4, its easier to work on a clean engine than it is to work on a dirty engine

i didn't say i didn't like a clean engine bay, i said all those colors and stickers are unnecessary. I clean my engine bay too. also i think a clean stock enginebay would get a better respect from the authorities than those flashy ones.

ProTools - ur car looks dope. u shouldn't be too touchy about one persons opinion.
CelciaGTE - U bring up some valid points as well, I 'try' for 'go' 1st b4 show but it's hard sometimes :)
But hey, you guys are from different cultures and have different opinions, there's nothing wrong with that. take the comments and critisicims (spelling) and move on

Shorter pipe = more heatsoak when staging. Maybe Injen was trying to take that into account?

if you look at the position of the actual intakes i would say the injen not only has a longer tubing but actually more vunerable to heat soak by the way the intake is placed horizontally IMO.

so... which one should be a better intake for the GT..... i was thinking about the injen short ram... but seems like the Blitz is pretty good too.... few question...
i've the AEM too... which intake will give you the power gain close to the AEM... and howbout the sound...also... i don't have any problem with the AEM... which one the injen or the Blitz is more safe... and which one is a better quality intake...
thank you...

well quality wise, you can't beat a blitz. powerwise, the blitz is amoung the top. filtrationwise, some tests indicate that the last gen sus power is not good, but i don't know about the injen or aem or the new blitz lm.
