What type of oil should I change over to for use with my turbo? Some synthetic type, right?

i dont think you need to change your oil type due to a turbo setup.. not that im aware of anyhow.. I run 5w30 my in my eclipse.. non synthetic..

i would just run synthetic....it can't hurt.
Why dont you run synthetic? lar?
i would think for a higher mileage car with uppgraded turbo and what not, that ya would....

becuase turbo cars are more prone to using oil and burning oil.. synthetic is soo light your car would go through it faster.. this is all out my ass ofcrouse but its my logic

All the Supra owners I know use synthetic oil with 2,500 mile oil changes.

i think its flawed logic.......isnt sythertic supposed to be less volitile, therefore harder to burn, therfore.......it will not separate and you would have a safe cooler running engine. isnt that the entire premiss to synthetic oil?

Since everyone is getting excited about turbos again, I may as well bring back this topic.
*I'm gonna change over to synthetic. Now what brand?
Castrol, etc? What grade?

I am using 20W50 because the mechanic suggested it, LarryD you do not have any problems at all with organic oil?? (have not changed the oil yet but thats what he suggested when I change oil, I am about due at 1500miles)
