well this is my question. first of all, i have a 2000 gts. after warming up my engine, i drive it regular, then i gunn it trying to redline it in first gear, this is where the problem comes in. my rpm stops a like 6200rpm instesd of 8000rpm, it bounces at 6200. then i will drive it regulary, then i gunn it again in first gear and it will redline regulary. it will go to 8000rpm like usual. is this a major problem. need input.

Are you sure the car is warmed up all the way? I usually don't gun it unless the water temp has hit half way.

mines hits 7K and stops until the car is fully warmed up, its completely normal for it to do that

you need to let it warm up all the way to rev it higher. You don't want to bring your car into lift until your engine in fully warmed up.

If it really does stop at 6200 instead of 7000, your lift bolts may be broken.
