A friend of mine says he can get me some stuff of these brands, Lightning Audio, Mobile Authority and Audiobahn. I was looking for some Subs specifially but how are these brands for subs and all around? Please leave me some good honest opinions.

Thanks

well I couldnt tell you much about mobile authority, but I have not heard great things about them. As far as audiobahn, I had a few sets of them, was not really too impressed with how they sound. They need a fairly big box and lots of power to sound decent. Personally I would avoid lightning audio all together as far as amps are concerned.

I see, hmmmm.

Im looking to get a pair of 12"s could anyone just give me a few companys that would give me a good sub and some I should avoid? Image dynamics are recommended by everyone around here, would that be a good choice? Im looking for somthing that would sound good but have some spl value as well. I would be listening to mainly rock/rap.

well I hate to sound like a Image Dynamics rep.. cause I'm not but the general consensus about them is that they are great for sq. they are not super high spl subs, (unless you get IDMAX) but sound awesome compared to , say my audiobahns. no comparison between the 2.
A few other brands are JL Audio, Phoenix gold X-max, Kicker, Infinity makes a pretty good sq sub also. There are lots more than the ones I listed, but you cant really go wrong with any of those. <br> As long as you feed them a decent amount of CLEAN power, from a quality amp, most any sub will sound good. Don't get cheap with the wiring and patch cables too, Those are very important :D

Go with Bostons. Plenty of nice, rich tight bass.
