This might sound sort of a stupid question but oh well. I can feel that my brakes have lost their power, like 60% of what they were a two weeks ago. I think that its my front brakes, and maybe only one side (inside or outside pad). My question is will the dealer check my brakes for free? Also, I painted my calipers, calipors, I dont know. I had painted them like a month or more before the brake issue. Im just affraid that toyota will say that its my fault (if they are stuck or something). Thanks.

Why dont you just check the brakes yourself? changing pads is one of the easiest things you can do yourself. Inspection usually is free throught the dealership...But there's no way that they'll replace the pads, unless they're defective.

By losing power, do u mean that you can floor the brake pedal and it hardly slows the car down? If that's the case, you have a problem that needs immediate fixing. You're losing brake fluid somewhere. It sounds like it could be a slow leak since you didn't lose complet control of your brakes, but it wouldn't be the pads. You'll know the pads are thinning because it'll make a metal scraping sound. Check your brake fluid level and if low, then refill it and take it to the dealer right away.
