TYC Tails versions

I was looking into getting some TYC tails, do you guys know how to tell if they are the GEN I or GEN IIs? There is some on ebay that's boxed up in the Fast n Furious boxes, is that GEN Is? I read GEN I has a gap problem. Also between the reds, black, gunmetal, which one you guys think would look best on thundercloud silver?

I had gen 1 with the gap, they came in a blue box. I've heard that the gen 2's came in the Fast and the Furious box.

I see, and that gap...what is it exactly? I hear about it all the time, but don't know what people mean. Also some people said to get bat's overlay for the rear tails, to hide something? What is it they trying to hide...???

all around the back edge it doesnt meet flush with the car. as for covering them up i dont know. amny people like the "blackened" look where you make htem tinted, thats what i am assuming they are talking about

I was just searching the tails and apparently the insides (when u open the trunk) is silver...i think that's the part people were mentioning about. Doesn't really matter to me tho'.

Bro, that is SIC! <drool>. The real CF just can't be beat. Love how that blends in so nicely with our dark interiors...love your screen too, that's totally awesome.

Also some people said to get bat's overlay for the rear tails, to hide something? What is it they trying to hide...???


If you look at the TYC black and gunmetal tails, there is a chrome edge that goes around the entire taillight (not inside the trunk). That's the part that people cover with vinyl, because it looks out of place.
