Didn't know they had a recall for the 06 civics

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Honda Motor Co. recalled about 25,000 Civics on Thursday because the accelerator pedal was improperly installed on some 2006 models, which could cause a crash.

If the pedal is improperly installed, it could come loose, cause the throttle to stick and raise the potential for a crash. Honda spokesman Sage Marie said there have been no crashes or injuries linked to the issue in the popular-selling vehicle.

I read this, then I saw that new Civic Si commercial on tv and just started to laugh.

Kinda depicts what it might feel like if your brand new 197hp Civic suddenly, without warning goes WOT in the middle of rush hour traffic.

You know the one where the Civic comes to a tunnel, accelerates and drive up the walls of the tunnel to drive on the ceiling, then flying through traffic and bouncing off buildings to a techno trance beat.

I like Honda much, much more than I do Toyota (which I doubt I will ever buy again)..but that commercial sucks. so do the rest of the new Civic commercials. LOL maybe if I was 16 again I might like it.
