How do you remove the rear drums on a GT? We removed the 4 bolts, but can't get the drum off. Trying to do the GTS conversion, but the damn drum is stuck.

Disengauge your ebrake and it'll come off.

And for the GT-S conversion you have to remove the whole hub so just remove the four 12mm bolts behind the hub. You'll see them once you look back there. You don't need to take apart the whole drum.

The ebrake is off,and the 4 bolts are off. The hub is stuck on.

You have to hammer it off. Don't forget to remove the brake line as well.

We've been beating on it for like an hour, broke one mallet already. Used a bunch of WD40 too,tried prying it off too.

Hit around the drum with a hammer.

Yes, I'm positive. I used the little 'how to' on here. And I've BEEN hitting it with a hammer.

Take a picture of the back. It has to come off easily with a few hits. Maybe you just have weak arms.

:rofl: That's a sissy hammer. Use a real metal hammer. A couple good hits should get it off.

The 'how to' said to use a rubber mallet...so we are. Any more advice?

Use a real hammer not a mallet. I had no problem getting two sets up hubs off with a real hammer.

The center piece seems to have rusted and fused itself with the knuckle... grrr
