Something strange happened today in lift, wtf happened!?

I tried passing a car today on a 2-lane road because the guy in front of me was going 40 in a 50 mph zone and I was running late for work. Anyways, I throw my car into 2nd gear going about 40 mph, hit lift and at 7k RPM my car stops accelerating!!! The needle starts bouncing, it wouldnt go past 7k RPM and my engine is going reeererererererere, so I have to hit the brakes and drop back behind this fool and I am wondering what the hell just happened!? Was it because my engine was not fully warmed up? The temp gauge was not all the way at the bottom, but it was only 1 notch up...I slowed down and let the car ahead of me gain some distance and I tried going into lift again, and once again I could not go past 7k RPM....About 10 minutes later when I get to another stretch of road where I can go fast again, I put it into lift in 2nd gear and everything went fine, I could go 8k+ RPM....

So anyone know why my car did this? Was it because it was not fully warmed up??!

yep, u gotta let it warm up a lil
that happened to me once at the track, i let the car cool off too much, first and second gear only went up 2 7k then 3rd and 4th hit lift
ended up with like a 15.8

Are you sure you went into lift went it cut out early? If you are sure it engaged, then it is not a temp problem, because if it isn't warm enough, it doesn't engage, and cuts off at 7K RPM.
