My bestfriend, girlfriend and I all have 2000 celicas and all of ours are also peeling. Some worse than others. If you find anything out could you let me know please?

I had just today bought some new line for oxidation for headlights at Autonozone. The kit has different grits of wet sandpaper ranging from 1000, 2000, and 2500 with a petroleum based polisher.
It's pure junk, but it made me think about my badly peeling moonroof.
If it gets worse, and it will, I will try wet sanding it all the way and I dont know if even 2500 grit will make it look clean being Lexan "It's no ordinary plastic!" with a cheap Toyota tint on it, then clean it up and put some form of tint on it like Toyota.

I figure if its ruined why not try to fix it yourself if it's beyond repair.
It's not going to look any worse otherwise a new moonroof is in order which was the case to begin with.

i dont have any right now but when it starts you will know...it looks like really bad scratching....and once that breaks apart it starts peeling up...im wondering if a tint shop could some how get all that off.....and maybe put some exterior tint on there?? anyone else have any suggestions?

Mine is horrible. It has peeled almost all the way off and now has a haze to it. Time to start checking junkyards or foot the $238 for a new one.
