those that have misshifted with mods

I had lots more than that, including a shortshifter. No problems from Toyota.

No. Everyone has been getting it covered under warrenty. The intake had nothing to do with your problem. Just watch out after you get the car back. I'm still having problems.

ok..thanks for everyones comments. im 17 and my parents said that if it wasnt under warranty i would have to sell my car. i couldnt sleep much last night because of this happening. whats wrong with your car since you have gotten it back? also, i have a trd shortshifter, so will they put a 2002 gearbox in my car making my shortshifter useless? and will they change my cutoff from 8300 to 7800 or will they keep it at 8300?

They won't change the ECU, so the rev limiter will be the same, but you probably will get the 02 shift gate.

There is a way to get the TRD shortshifter working with the 2002 gates, but I forgot how. Search the board, the directions were posted before. Maybe someone whould e-mail them to larryd so that people can look them up on the main page of the site.
