Got my car back after misshift. Take it off the lot and get going home. I check to see if I can hit lift and nothing but 7000 rpm rev limiter. Yes! The car was fully warmed up. Then my CEL comes on. The car sounds different too. So I'm taking it to another dealership tomorrow. Have any of you had this problem? I got a new head, new valves, and oil pump, the usual with misshifting.

take it back to the same dealer. It is their fault. They should fix the problem. It was their ****y labor.

Oh! Plus, they scratched the hell out of my headlights. I tried running the car and it doesn't seem to be overheating. I'm clueless and pissed off.

And....................why should I take it back to the dealer that gave me hell about fixing it in the first place. Turns out they can't fix it right so I'm thinking I should take it to the other dealership here in El Paso. Hoy Fox Toyota sucks! I'm waiting for the survey!

Well...........took my car to the "other" toyota dealership (**** Poe) and they had it diagnosed in one day. I need a new valve and the car is still driveable. Excellent treatment at this dealer. Hoy Fox Toyota of El Paso's slogan was "World Class Service". I never saw it. So now it's **** Poe Toyota.

i bet you are getting the 7000rpm rev limit even when the car is fully warmed up because one of your coolant temp sensors is messed up and tricking the ECU into thinking the car is cold. YOu have 3 coolant temp sensors. one for the ecu, one for the radiator fan activation, and one for the dash gauge. I may be wrong but i think its highly possible.
