New Car!!!!

Hey fellas I pick up my 2000 GT-s today and just have a few questions. What are some things I should do (not perf. mods) to make sure the car is good to go? Things like Trans fluid - when should it be changed (car has 48k)? What type/weight of oil works best? etc... I just want to make sure its in top shape before i begin to mod it.

theres another thread here regarding trans fluid. Just make sure it's at a decent level. You can have someone replace it though.
As far as oil goes, I personally use Royal Purple 5w30. Most people here use fully synthetic. I've heard Redline is good too, but I only use Royal Purple. Go to www.royalpurple.com to find someone near you that sells it.
Oh and a lot of people have different takes on oil filters. I like to use OEM Toyota filters.
And you may wanna check your air filter too. if it is dirty find a K&N drop-in high flow air filter.
