q? about toyota paseo

one of my friends is looking to buy a new car. he is thinking about a toyota paseo. anyone know anything about them as far as reliability, price, relatively low milage, etc. thank you.

they are reliabel ..ugly...no aftermarket....and if he wants a 18+ 1/4 mile time ...tell him its a good buy

i know some kid with a hooked up one with all custom poarts made nd he ran a 19+ 1/4 time...if he wants a good econo box its perfect..for anything else..he better buy another car

tell him he is better off buyugn a used civic ex or an integra or previous generation prelude..

I think that's the idea A to B he has a 90 Accord right now but it's falling apart, He doesn't care much about performance or an after market, at least I don't think he does.

I own a 92 Paseo as a 2nd car to my Type-S and I think its an ok car. VERY good gas mileage and reliability. Its just a Tercel trying to look more sporty IMO. Performance wise you won't be getting anything from it. I wouldn't get one but oops I already have one.

Tell him to get a Prius. They are a lot but the government gives a 10,000 rebate on Hybrid cars.

i think the paseo is one of the most Ugliest cars i've ever seen! but the Echo gives it a run for its money..

i think the echo is uglier then the paseo.
the 95+paseo does have the same engine as the 95+tercel (5E-FE) as far as performance there is some after market not alot but some i ran my tercel 16.5 (faster then some of you GT owners and some of those auto GTS'), or you can always swap in a starlet gt turbo motor (4E-FTE) which stock its like 130 hp, but can be worked well over 200 hp and run high12s

You shouldn't say, they dont have aftermarket. They quite of bit for the Paseo. They do have turbo kit,header,exhaust,bodykit and so on. Even there is a engine swap that can be done, like my friend got on his Paseo.

the paseo is a tercel with a different shell on it
toyota dealer said that and i beleive it
i had a 99 tercel and it is better looking in my mind and anyone disagree send me email i will send them a pic of it (don't know how to post em)
