Hi guys,
can someone refer me on to a good exhaust dealer they have personal experience with........I want a new one.....also any recommendations as to what to fit in for performance gains.
Also does anyone have a CAI ? Im looking into it and there doesnt seem to be any Injen CAI that the yanks are always talking about on sale here in Sydney.

yeh ive asked around for the cold air intake too..doesnt seem to be any...
i went to Advan Performance 2day and talked to the guy...
they sell TRD exhaust for around $2000 thats including shipping to australia..fitted too
otherwise a TRUST exhaust, which is a better brand set you back around $1500 shipped..fitted too
HKS Hiper is around $1200 and you can get them at bd4's..fitted..
if you want performance gains..get a unichip...does wat im getting..its $1100 at croydon autosports and it gives around 8-10 extra kw@ wheels...
im sure the chip voids warranty...sooo yeh...

try Liverpool exhaust. they did my exhaust and they did a great job. very professional. go for 2.5inch mandrel bends with a 2.5inch straight thru muffler. go and see jimmy at liverpool exhausts. Iv got a magnaflow muffler on my car. I have no resonator however so it is quite loud, but it is a sturdy exhaust and doesnt move around, so it odesnt damage any part of the car.

hey matt,
apart from the super car noise you get from the exhaust, did you notice any performance improvements?
Also what was the price ?

i did notice a good improvement in top end power, especially cam changeover at 6000rpm. it cost me $500 which included mandrel bends and custom brackets for the mounting.

the price for the hks hiper exhaust system is $1227.60 thats a full 2.5 inch cat back system...
the power gains are around 5-8hp@wheels..
which is around 4-5kw@wheels gain.
its not much but you'll notice the difference..
im not sure if i want the hks anymore..cuz i dont like the sound..
i mite get matt's exhaust..its cheaper and i like the loud sound..

Hey all,
Its been a long time since I have been on this forum... I havent bought anything new for my celica in a very long time.. but im thinking a new exhaust would be handy. Ill probably go the Magna Flow as well. I went to get a quote a long time ago from a local shop down here in Canberra but the guys said it would be too much trouble. Ill have to somewhere else to get one installed.
Matt, I like your setup.

Thanks for your comments.
The magnaflow has gone up in price for some reason. My mate went last week to get one, and he was quoted like $870.00 for the same exhaust I got for $ 500.00.
But look around and stick to decent exhuast shops, and you will be ok.
