Alright, I just purchased these for my car from some place here in orlando and they are the Japanese H-3 lights for the daily driving lights on our celicas. Now, here's my stupid question. There is a wire with what looks like flat piece of metal (grounder) attached to each light. What the hell is that?? I'm also having problems disconnecting or taking out the old lights. Any tips or ideas? Thanks so much, I really want to get these on!!
Fin
P.S. Sorry for the double post as I posted this in the appearance section too, but I'm really frustrated here.

The H3 bulb is for the fog lights, not the low beam headlight bulb. The bulb list for the celica is here (http://www.newcelica.org/other/faq/bulbs/index.htm)

I know that the H-3 is for the fog lights, but the daily driving lights are the same light type as the fog lights right? The low beam lights are the projector lights in the main round fram of the headlamp assembly. But what light is the all day running light????
Thanks,
Fin

H3's by design have that wire as means as a connector. It allows for a a more compact assembly.

So where does it connect to then? Sorry for the stupid questions, but I'm electrically uninclined :)

No the fog light and high beam (DRL) bulbs are different. The bulb that you have (with the wire) will only work in the fog lights.

take off the bumper and remove the fog lights
it should be obvious how you connect your new H3 bulbs

The bulbs you bought are for the fog lights. To replace them you don't have to remove the front bumper..although I hear it is pretty painless to do. I just jacked up the car and removed the bottom panels, this will allow you to access the bulbs. Once you have taken the panels off, replacing the bulbs is very simple.
Your low beam lights are H7's and do not have that wire coming out of the bottom of them. Also as someone mentioned above the DRL are your highbeams running at low power. I believe those are 9006 series bulbs.
