I JUST PUT IT ON DID NOTHING ELSE... picked it up and put it on and paint just started basically falling offfffffffffffffffff... the dude charged me 250 to paint the whole lip kit...
question is when you paint a lip kit dont you have to sand and primer it first??? i believe so.. the dude just freakin painted the lips and did not sand or primer it... MORONNNNNNNNNN

maybe that is the problem.
but this is the real problem:
-wings west lip kit is made out of poly urethane material (unless you bought a replica fiberglass version).
-paint cant hold onto polyurethane without an "adhesion promoter". its a special glue you mix with the paint, which makes it hold onto poly urethane material WAY better than using regular paint without the promoter.

i think you should paint his front window with your shiet . haha or make a huge smiley face on his hood with it.
he might be an unexperienced painter then. honestly, he should have known that what he was painting is made out of poly urethane and that paint wont adhere to it, but will comform to the surface like a mask that can be easily removed.
had he have known what h was painting/doing, he is supposed to tell you that there is an extra charge for the adhesion promoter plus the cost of the paint.
did you tell him that it he was painting a poly urethane lip, just to remind him?

eh i called him and he told me to just go ahead and put the lips on my car and bring my car up there so he can paint them while they are on the bumpers... does this sound right??
he said they probably starting chipping becuase of the movement and twisting and turning of the bumper to fit right and if he paints it while they are on the bumpers they wont chip like that....
that sound right???? hope this works

no that sound crazy wrong. It should be able to be painted off and the special stuff added to the paint would make it so it did not chip when installing.

yah, just like what hawaiianboy said, it will still chip off eventually. he needs to use the adhesion promoter. if he suggests that he doesnt need it, he is an idiot.
