Everything Sport M is discontinued, I believe.

Isn't the Sport M shift knob just a leather wrap knob with red or blue on it?

Cause if its this shift knob that in this brochure:

http://www.celica-club.co.uk/cgibin/cpg132/albums/userpics/10012/Celica%20-%20TRD%20Sports-M-04.jpg

Then you can still get those from Toyota in Canada, cause I believe that's what comes with our sports package up here. Looks the same to me at least.

I think we can conclude that the Type-R has both a better gauge cluster and a better shift knob than the Sports-M. ;)

More traditional maybe, but not better IMO.

Sports M: Bam! There's the Tach

Type R: Clusterf**k :chuckles:

I would say the tach on the Type-R is actually more center than in our Celicas (Sports-M included).

But I will agree that if color differentiations help with the tach location, then yes, the Sports-M helps with that. It's more the speedo that's "BAM" though.

The sport m has the tach in the middle, cant get more centered then that,LOL. plus its white(extra visible) (sp?) Yeah anyway, all celica shift knobs suck, but you can always change it.

Ah, I stand corrected. I wasn't aware the tach was in the middle, I thought it was still off to the left.

I retract my previous 2 statements and ban myself to studying more Sports-M stuff before making another.

post it... this cluster would be a danger in my celi.. it makes it look like it's ok to rev higher and shows that u still have plenty of room to go faster. it's prob good if u have a built motor and pfc tho were u can change the redline to be higher

That's all I have at the moment. I'm doing a red LED conversion to it and looking into getting the odometer recalibrated to match my mileage in KM. Then I'll have installed pics.
