View Full Version : Custom 3" Exhaust

With the new (body kit) edition to my car I'm going to have to make some adjustments to my exhaust setup. I'm planning on going w/ the JIC DE Type-1 BULLET (Ti) canister in (80mm-160mm-114.3mm). Does anyone know if I'll run into fitment issues with this particular size canister? Also, do I need to buy some type of Ti clamp or flange when mounting it?

unless you're boosted, dont get a 3'' exhaust.

Yeah what he said..

If you want to save some money..get the Megan Turbo muffler off of ebay..its a rip off of an apexi n1..look at my sig..it sounds nice..its 3" inlet too.

My apexi N1 fits on my kam kit. A little shorter but that's fine since I'm rerouting the pipes anyway then have it flush with my bumper. JIC is nice but IMO why pay more if you can get something that's less and still performs the same. Weight may be but who really cares about a few 3-5 lbs of difference?

BTW someone on the honda forum did a test between the megan n1 and the apexi n1 and its the same damn muffler

Good point, I don't know I guess I just want something different.

o, well in this case, get the custom exhaust dude, i have a buddy with the same muffler with custom piping on his eclipse and it sounds awesome!!!

It came with a bolt on steel flange, fitment worked out perfect. Looks sick!
I highly recommend the bullet for custom setups. :thumbup:

yeah. both of my exhausts curl towards the middle. i like how that one is practically straight back.

i like the HKS Carbon Ti muffler for a custom exhaust. thats always been one of my favs. your JIC Bullet one looks really good though. but the set up im going to do is almost like the stock or even the premade exhaust but its going to have one of those sick a** angles....
