JDM parts are known for good quality as well as exclusivity, because they tend to cost more. This is why a lot of people say 'you gotta pay to play.'

Yup BHam00GT-S Said it the best. JDM = Japan Domestic Market USDM= United States Domestic Market. Correct if im wrong with the USDM how ever.

JDM is basically an American construct - they don't do "JDM style" that much in Japan. More popular is VIP styling. Its a way to sell their domestic crap at overinflated prices to ricers in America who somehow were convinced that the exclusivity was cool.

Diamond Star Motors was the braun behind Mitsubishi until mid to late '94. They produced the mitsubishi motors (as well as eagle talon motor) up until the end of the 1st gen Eclipses. Then Mitsubishi Motors took over for the 95-up production, and that is why you see 50% of the 2nd gen. eclipse turbos getting crankwalk :rolleyes:
