HOW to race?????

ok,I have an automatic celica..How should I race,with the over drive on or off,and why?

L -> 2 -> OD

u can also brake a bit and push on the gas up to 2k? i think and then let off and punch it from the line... but its not recommended i dont think

you don't race an auto... the tranny will go bad from switching gears all the time... i messed up my auto tranny in my intrepid from "racing" / switching gears too much

Uhm, this is an appearance mod forum, so therefore, if you put a giant "R" on your front and back windows the car will basically race itself :D

using L->2->OD is no different than the tranny shifting itself, just you tell it when to shift, it's electronically controlled, not manual.

you're better off shifting your own gears, if you let it do itself, it shifts more often = more wear and tear. that's why they have the L-2-OD in the first place, so you can turn off the higher gears in traffic.

if your auto tranny in your intrepid went bad, it wasn't from "racing". using L->2->OD is not "racing". maybe using L->2->OD at really high rpm put more stress on it, that would be racing. in which case, why offer the gts auto with a sportshift that basically is the same thing as L->2->OD?
