Does anyone know the number to trial usa so i can call them i need to know the price on the 3zz motor. It says 2800 for kit but then it says 6999.95 so is it 2800 if u already have a 2zz motor? Also i need to know how this whole process works.

try going to their website and looking around. maybe EMail somebody?

It's a stroker kit. It's not an actual 3zz motor. They just named it that. 2800 is probably for the stroker kit ad 7k is probably if you want them to supply a motor as well.

lets hope so cause i not paying 7k for that kit i emailed them but i couldn't find a number.

yeah you can get a 3zz from toyota, and its 1.6l of aluminum fury.
you want the 3zz stroker.
go through monkey wrench racing. they are listed as a sponsor & get their # from their site.

Trial has nothing to do with Monkey Wrench Racing and vis-versa. Two completely different entities. Contacting MWR about Trial will get you nowhere.

i was refering to using their (MWR) 3zz set up rather then trial, guess should have said that.

You're still wrong. MWR has a 2zz stroker kit, that is all. It's not called the 3zz. Trial is the only one that carries a 3zz stroker kit.
Also i need to know how this whole process works.
If you're asking this then you shouldn't be looking into a stroker kit.
wow... i just suck, i guess. lol i thought MWR offered a 3zz kit too. sorry for the misleading info.

Well they are mainly the same thing. They both use a 1zz-fe crank shaft with custom rods, pistons, sleeves (other misc. items as well). Trial just named their kit the 3zz stroker, while MWR is just plain ol' 2zz stroker kit. I believe trial's kit is closer to 2.0 litres than MWR's kit though (I may be wrong on that).

Trial calls it the "3ZZ" engine, but it's just a 2ZZ stroker kit pretty similar to MWR's.

LOL ooook so which is better to buy like more hp? And how many liters does it come out to 1.9L?

I would say Trial's is a little better but both are pretty much the same and make the same amount of power. This is coming from someone who owns the MWR stroker. MWR does have more choices though as far as compression ratios..you can get any ratio you want (I chose 12.5:1 because I'm N/A).

it all depends on what you want to do...I have a low compression stroker from MWR and its awesome...I plan on making over 400 WHP with it
wouldnt mwr be best choice as far as technical support & choice's available as far compression ratios, stroke & bore. does trial even offer any choices?

I dont think Trial has any choices, and i would definatly go with MWR just cause they are stateside and not overseas

so is that stroker kit from MWR only for 1zz or can I use it on my 2zz-ge engine?
or am I not getting something meaning confused?

2ZZ stroker kit uses the 1zz crank. I don't believe they have a 1zz stroker, or it's just not listed.

ok ill clear this up...2ZZ stroker has a 1ZZ crank with custom sized rods and pistons.....1ZZ big bore uses 1ZZ crank 1ZZ (sized) rods and slightly bigger bore pistons....you must sleeve both blocks...both kits produce about the same displacement 1.94L

ok gotcha thank
w/2zz stroker do you loose Lift or is it still there?

WEll it looks like the mwr is better. I have a question though does lift at 6k still happen the same and you shift at 8300 rpms? Cause someone told me you can't rev as high anymore? How high can you rev to? And do you really feel a big difference in power with the MWR stroker kit? How much is MWR's stroker kit any ways? I also heard you have to change out your valves. Trail offers a valve kit but it is like $2400 i think. Does MWR offer a valve kit to?

If you are going this deep into tuning your car, you're definitely going to want a PFC as well. With PFC everything basically is tunable

so wait, you mean there is nothing we can add onto the GT motor to make it faster? only the 2zz?

You still have lift since the head is what controls it and nothing is being changed there.

how is the pull of LIFT in MWR 2.0L stoker? is it stornger or weaker?
I've rode on 03xrs where lift kicks at 62krpm but on my car is at 68k. Compared to 03 model my 05 modle pulls strogner twice.
how is it w/stoker?
6800 rpms on 05 xrs that sucks, where's your rev limiter at? i have an 03 gt-s & an 04 xrs they hit lift at 6200 rpm's

Trial has all the same options as MWR. There stroker is 1.99L and MWR is only 1.93 ish ( i could be off by .1). Personally, I wouldnt put much stock in whose closer for service unless theyre right next door and would go with the greater displacement.

I'm confused here, since the Trial kit puts the 2zz closer to 2.0L wouldnt it produce more power?

Slightly, Yes. The bigger the chamber, the more air. The more air, the more fuel. More fuel and air = bigger boom. Bigger boom = more HP.

I think its at 8400rpm but pull of lift at 6800rpm is way stonger that 6200rpm when I drove that 03 xrs car

Well looks like i might not be buying nothing cause i was in lift the other night and my friend with his civic was racing me called me on my cell cause he was getting smoke all over his car from mine. White smoke that is and small particles. So i tried lift again to see what he was talking about. Lots of white nasty smoke. And i hear a little rattle noise. No check engine lights though. The next day i drove my car to get gas and come back noise gets louder. Then later that day check engine light comes on so i dropped it off at the dealer ship this morning. So i am waiting to see waz wrong with it. If it is the head i'm just gonna go head and replace valves and springs and get pistons and sleeves while they have everything open thaz if it serious. LOL but lets hope not LOL.

Can one of you that think one is larger displacement explain to me how? They both use the same stock 1zz crank, neither use pistons that bore out the engine. Unless you know a different type of math they are the same displacement.

^^ Supposedly the Trial kit does NOT use the 1ZZ crank (there's a debate about this). That's why bore would be increased in the Trial "3ZZ" over MWR's stroker kit.

Well got my car back it was a blown cat. Toyota tried to charge me $1400 i was like yeah right give my car back i can buy a after market high flow cat for like $300. Any ways you can turbo your car still with the mwr stroker kit right? How many hp will you get any ways with the MWR stroker kit running off of 93 octane gas? Like how much more over stock i know its not no 220 like trial says cause thaz like racing fuel.
Speed4TheNeed

^^ That answer depends on so many variables it's impossible to even think about answering how much power it will make. But to answer the first question: yes, you can still turbo your car with the stroker.
How much power you make depends on:
1. Your compression ratio (which you choose..if you want to go F/I then you want lower compression pistsons--8.8:1 soley to choose an example).
2. Your turbo kit
3. Your accessories
4. Your tuning
