What's involved in a conversion from a sunroof to a T-Top? A buddy of mine is gettin' his roof cut (Del-Sol style) and I was wondering if it'd be feasible to get A t-top celly....

If you already have a sunroof that would be a big job. But anythings possible with enough $.

If anything, it would probably loook better to go straight across and do a del sol style pop rather than doing Ts... but that's just my opinion.

yeah, a targa top on a celica would look pretty sweet.

Don't you think the car would lose to much rigidity? I guess if you just like to cruise prob wouldn't matter.

it would lose some, but they have ways of reinforcing the unibody

I was considering doing this at one time, but now I am just getting a power moonroof installed in my GT since it wasn't an option in 2000. Anyways I got a hold of a factory moonroof (just the glass panel) from a GT-S. I hope I can save quite a bit now to get one installed already having that piece.

for purposes of weight and whatnot, i'm leaving mine a hardtop.... but i'd love to ttop or targatop one....
you'd probably want to start with one that does not have a sunroof, and you'd probably need another roof..

500-800 bucks? :ugh: I'm not sure I'd have him touch my car. Hopefully in that case "you get what you pay for" doesn't apply
