Hi there,

I have a Jap import 2000 GT-S. It currently has sat nav in it. This doesnt work over here in Ireland. The TV turner also doesnt seem to be stong enough to pick up the TV channels and the reception is terrible.

My plan is to take out the sat nav and set up a DVD/Playstation with screen in place of the screen in the car.

Whats the best way to do this?
Is the current screen compatable with aftermarket DVD etc?
What size screen will i need to replace the current one?
wheres the cheapest/decent quality place to get a screen and single din DVD player(multi region)?
Should I remove all the sat nave together and try and see it on?

Thank for all the help with this lads!

Cheers

Ross

i wanted to get 1 of these sat nav units but the dont work in england either
the best thing to do is replace it another unit
kenwood do a real nice double din unit multi region dvd with plenty of out puts for tv ipod playstion u can even get a navigatin unit for it.
these aint cheap but well worth the money and i like the look of a double din.

wot im in the process of doin is replacin my double din with a single and in the compartment (fingy wiv the door) im moulding in a screen

Sorry buddy, i want to remove the sat nav from the car. If you look at my pics above, u can see that the dash has a screen in it. I want to remove it and replace with an aftermarket screen and then hook it up to a DVD and my Sony head unit!
