how much should this install run me? (JDM console)

I am getting a 6.5 inch screen installed with a dvd deck in the new JDM console I have.

How much should this run me?

I know futureshop had me quoted for 150 to get a dvd deck installed (different then what I want now) so I hope it's not to muich more. So this post is like half rant/ half asking for advice of how much they should charge for this install..

I work for an install shop and we usually quote for a job like that around $100... I think $150 is alright but you could save some money. Shop around first, make a few calls and see how much you can save. :)

you could save 150 by DIY bc its really easy..dont let all the wires intimidate you...i got qouted 200 bucks just for a flip screen install with no dvd player!!! all you need for a safe and easy job is:
crimp kit
wire strippers
instructions
time
electical tape (just in case..the crimping will cover the terminal ends)

The lcd fits perfectly in that empty space and i just put the jdm console over it and it sits perfectly. When you play mp3s, it shows the file name, artist,title, and album and nothing more on the lcd.
