was toying with several ideas for cars and my car. here are the options im thinking of, and im posting them here on nc.org for a more colored response.

i autocross and want to start getting into that more than i am now, along with continuing my drag racing. it is VERY difficult to build a suspension that can do both and maintain a daily driver, so here are some things i've been thinking about.

1. make the v6 my drag car. 4 grand will buy me an 11 psi intercooled supercharger form procharger, heads, cam, intakes and around 400hp. it would make me a pioneer with teh v6 guys, and give me something different then the next guy with a mustang. drag suspension is very easy to do with this car, since stock the cars pretty much setup for it (the 4 link has a decent purpose after all! ) :) my car has a 93 cobra spec tranny, 99 up cobra clutch and the 8.8 rear, so breaking things wouldn't be a concern..

2. make the v6 the road racer..do a full suspension job on it, finish it out n/a so it hits 260ish hp and leave it as my fun to drive DD. buy a 1G gsx and gut it to hell and up the boost..make it my weekend warrior/winter beater that runs 13's or whatever. wil also be used to autocross.

3. make my v6 have teh 400hp, have the suspension work done to it, and end up in some magazines cuz of its rarity. 6 grand later...still cheaper than a GT's msrp.

4. stop modding all together, get some rims, finish out the stereo, be happy with low 15's high 14's and keep saving up for that 30k-35k car when im 25 or whatever.

5. pretend that im not V8 envious and buy an old fox body (Ewwwwww) :D

6. buy a celica gt-s 6 speed just to piss people off :)

Just buy a Celica GT (not GT-S) and autocross it. it's a much better autocross car.

you gotta figure out what you want basically.. do you want a drag car, road race car, autox car.. etc etc etc.. I think I just want an all around fun car..

choice 3! in my opinion if you can get the power and the suspension, it'll be fast in a straight line and if you learn how to control it, you'll rape people in auto-x and road racing. We had a guy down here one weekend who has a 450hp gt with a suspension and he was ripping up people in the corners with his auto-x slicks and he'd just switch to his drags slicks when he was drag racing at the track. He was a great driver, it just shows that's it's possible to have a very powerful car that can handle well. You just have to be able to drive it. Both types or racing are fun, so might as well have a car that can do both.

or you could just got buy a mclauren

you CAN have all three man.
there is a guy her ein kc known as "darksol" who drag races his del sol, and has taken numerous autocross titles.

this can be done in any car if you take the time and effort.

BTW if you put a simple procharger on the 3.8 v6 stang it will run low 14's on drag radials. no gear, no exhaust. just the blower

gear, exhaust and a couple other things 13's are easy to be had

i live near procharger. actually about 10 mins away

i was refering to the 95 next to it, that car is actually forsale. box stock with a blower for around 5k i think. stock gears, stock exhaust, stock suspension
put a gear and exhaust on it, it would romp the other one

cool :) i think it would be interesting to see how far the 99 up v6 could go though, since it has superior heads.

Why did you buy a v6 mustang in the first place??
