For those with Short Ram Intake [Archive]

For those with Sri, do you notice a lot of gains? I think theres little or no gains at all with my injen, but definately hear lift when it engages. I was wondering if anyone with SRI feel any gains? or is it just me? I was thinking to get CAI to see if there's any difference. my engine has 103k+ miles.

when i had my short ram, i heard a difference, but didnt really feel much of a difference.

i have the K&N sri, and i hear and feel the difference.

CAI will be almost twice as powerful as an SRI due to cold ambient air vs hot engine bay air.

i don't think that anybody is able to feel a 2-4hp difference..

maibe your stock-paper-airfilter was to dirty ;)

I also have a K&N Sri and i felt a diffrence. my friend has a Cai and were about even when we raced

i went from injen short ram to injen cai and let me put it this way its like driving in the summer with the ac on and turning it off its like getting that much more power not much but definately can feel a difference.....btw a cai is twice as loud as a sri my 2 cents

You're probably losing a ton of low end power. I would try and do the blue bomber mod or it could also be the hot air the short ram sucks in from the engine bay. The cai would help but I would still do the bb mod to it.

OK I am a newbie here. Had a celica for about 5 months now. A gen 7 190 (UK version of a 99 GT-S)

Have a K&N SRI and was wondereing what the blue bomber mod is?
