Hit me at celicagts@va.prestige.net if you have had this problem after installing TRD (or similar) springs. It seems like it squeaks whenever the suspension gets compressed or rebounds.... probably not unusual - is there something I can do?
PS FOR THE PROS - Sometimes when I make a turn I get a banging noise that sounds like it's coming from the front end - I was thinking something in the steering but I can never get it to reproduce for the dealer. Maybe the differential? An ideas will help - hit me at celicagts@va.prestige.net thanks - Steve

The squeek, more then likly from the back, is from the incorrect installation of the rubber boot the goes on the rear struts. You'll have to pull them of and reinstall them the correct way. I had the same issue and had installed them backward.
For the thunking noise, pop off the top of the strut dust cover on the front struts(easy) and tighten the bolt inside there, i think its an 18mm...I had both the same issues

could you be a little more specific of exact location of where you need to tighten a bolt. i'm having the same problem and i'd rather try doing this than go to the dealership. thanks.

Props to RedNOScelifor the help with the issues. I haven't tried either fix but it seems very likely you're right. I checked the dust covers and the bolts under them and they appeared to be tight to hand, but I 'll break out the torque wrench and check them properly when I get back from the gym. It's good to know you've had the same two problems and you were able to correct them easily enough. Thanks - Steve out

Tighten this 17mm nut. It could be 19mm 'cause someone told me they used a 19, but I haven't checked since then...
