Dang...I just spent $800 on a TomTom, this doesn't look too bad, I'd like to find more info on it though.

I have the icn510 in my car. It's an alright unit, will definately get you to where you are going but not always the best way. The best thing to do is enter in an address and get the directions on the nav ahead of time if you can to make sure it's not taking you in a circle and then to your destination, mine has done this 2 or 3 times. However it did also get my from LA to san fran and san diego and also around Germany italy, switzerland and austria(US version just with europe maps at that point) The speaker isn't too quiet as long as you dont have the stereo up loud, I just wish it had a longer battery life because plugging it in with the long adapter makes shifting to 5th gear a pain

of those 2-3 times..how long of a time span would say they occured in? But are you happy with it..i usually see them selling for around $300...worth the deal?

It really matters a lot on the settings you have it on. Like the preference for freeways and city streets, because it's a slider getting it to a good position to find the type of route you want is key. Overall I am happy with it, especially for the capability of finding points of interest and getting their number right off the nav, goodbye information

I did a lot of research before ending up deciding between Magellen Roadmate 360 and Garmin Quest 2. The NAVMAN you have linked is not a very good GPS. From all the user reviews and electronics editors' opinions, the NAVMAN takes longer than average to get a lock on signal. Also the NAVMAN only connects to 4 satellites, whereas the Garmin and Magellen uses 14 satellites and is WAAS-enabled (which will precisely locate your location to within 5 feet). The NAVMAN seems to have interesting looks and features with big screen, memory card, and whatnot but it fails as a true GPS navigation system. Also, NAVMAN doesn't offer map and point-of-interest location updates like Garmin and Magellen does. If you want good looks and nice gimmicks, this is that type of GPS. But if you really want the value of a GPS locater, I would always stick with Magellen or Garmin.

Since the POIs are not automaticlly updated on the unit..how will i be able to update it? Do i stick the SD card into my computer and download them from the website?

good advice..im really struggling to get only $300 now and the navman 510 is the ideal chice for me at the moment. Need some sort of GPS now..then maybe later down the road..i can seel it and buy some other one.
