how do u know when youre clutch needs to be replaced??

how can i save the most wear on my clutch (under normal driving)

You can tell by trying to start your car moving while its in 4th gear. Start from a stop, put it into 4th, and try to get the car moving...if it doesnt die right away, your clutch is probably gone. Also if when you shift gears the rpms go up, but your car doesnt speed up as much as it is supposed to, your clutch is gone. Oh...and if you drive fast in 1st gear, redline, and shift quickly, and get no wheelspin, then your clutch is probably dead. Best thing is to just go get it checked out. I had to replace mine at 45 thousand miles.
