JDM Console Setup Questions

whats up im pretty newb when it comes to audio\video etc. i was just wondering since they dont make 6.5's n touch screen, is the jdm console screen usually just a monitor so the face plate you purchase below controls what the screen displays(dvds) how does navigation work? what happens to the screen when just a song is playing? does it get all trippy like the windows media player lol? etc etc

usually when you do a screen setup the monitor is independent...in order to do a wmp type, it would have to all be one cd player...if you were looking to do that with just the monitor you can find a dvd player that displays photos so you can have a slideshow while you play music...lol..but to awnser your question...the screen will not show anything...just a blank screen....you use a remote control that comes with the monitor to power on/off and you control playback with a separate dvd player...
